It has become customary every year that Pastors and Bishops from all over the Province of the Anglican Church of Rwanda (PEAR) meet in a Clergy Conference. The first took place in Shyira Diocese in 2014 and the second (2015) and third (2016) in Shyogwe. Even today, Shyogwe is happy to welcome the fourth retreat.

The theme chosen for this year 2017 is “Growing together in Communion” (1Cor 12: 12-31). Among the guests of honor are Archbishop Foley Beach (from America), Bishop Alfred Olwa (from Uganda), and some political leaders.

The important themes will be developed-such as:

  • Acknowledging Jesus as Lord: My personal relationship with the Lord as a Minister;
  • The calling and preparation of disciple-makers in the Anglican Church: Mentoring and caring for leaders at all levels in the Church. Who is the disciple-maker?
  • Discipleship in the local church: How to grow Christians unto Christ-like maturity?

It should be noted that the conference starts on the fourth and ends on December 8, 2017.
We wish our Pastors and Bishops good conference!
