ANGLICAN CHURCH OF RWANDA, SHYOGWE DIOCESE

HANIKA ANGLICAN INTEGRATED POLYTECHNIC (OF SHYOGWE DIOCESE) SIGNED A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH MUHABURA INTEGRATED POLYTECHNIC (SHYIRA DIOCESE)

Today 04th May 2016, Hanika Anglican Integrated Polytechnic (of Shyogwe Diocese) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Muhabura Integrated Polytechnic (Shyira Diocese). The MOU has been signed by Rev Joseph SEHORANA for HAIP and Mr. Vital MANIRAKIZA the Principal of MIP.IMG-20160505-WA0001

Indeed, the Anglican Church, Shyogwe Diocese has been involved in technical education and training for long time. We own many schools in the Southern Province such as Hanika Technical Secondary School, St Peter College of Shyogwe, and V.T.C Vunga. Currently we wish to open a high learning institution in technical skills which are highly needed in our area. We have completed preparations and we don’t doubt that WDA will soon give us the accreditation to officially open the “Hanika Anglican Integrated Polytechnic Institute”. All our programs are application oriented to give our students the best possible prospects to create or find employment on successful completion of their studies. Yet, to support its ability to fulfill this commitment, the institution will establish collaboration with institutions of renown and standing in the region.

The major goal of the MOU signed with MIP is to establish long-term collaboration in sharing resources pertaining to education, research and technology transfer. This can be achieved by organizing the practical classes and training in the institution having more facilities like laboratories, workshops, and hardware and software resources. It is expected that the collaboration will promote the scholarly exchange between the two institutions and contribute to human capacity building of the two partner institutions, as well as enhancing the development of new knowledge and technologies in the targeted fields.

Under this agreement, the two institutions will jointly undertake a mutual collaboration in academic practice, and in exchanging information through documentation transfer, aiming at providing opportunities for their students and Lecturers, laboratories and Workshops.
